Director of Operations Support

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Director of Operations Support. In compliance with United Family Medicine goals, policies, mission, and vision, the Director of Operations Support is responsible for the operational effectiveness and efficiency of systems supporting UFM. This position plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction, goal setting and performance management of the areas of responsibility for non-clinical services: IT, safety, facilities and maintenance. This position provides daily operation oversight, management and leadership of non-clinical support staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Or, in lieu of a degree, at least ten (10) years of experience in operations support or health care management experience is required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in increasingly responsible ambulatory clinic management positions is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years in operations leadership in a community clinic or Federally Qualified Health Center is strongly preferred.

Clinic Director

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinic Director. The Clinic Director is responsible for the overall performance of staff that provide direct clinical patient care. In partnership with the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinic Director develops and operationalizes workflows that support optimal clinical quality, operational efficiencies, and a superior experience for patients, providers and staff. Leading and developing leaders and teams is an integral part of this role: the Clinic Director is expected to hire and develop employees to become UFM’s clinical leaders of the future.

The Clinic Director is responsible for leading the daily and administrative functions in a clinic floor setting. This role provides direction and leadership to ensure UFM meets the ‘Quadruple Aim’ of great patient care and improved population health within an efficient cost structure while improving the work-life of providers and staff.

Principal responsibilities include operations, managing of staff and resources, facilitating research and education, and maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations. The role establishes quality improvement efforts to support the delivery of patient and family-focused care and knowledge-based decision making as the framework for superior delivery of care. The Clinic Director facilitates communication, coordination, and collaboration among disciplines regarding identification, planning, and provision of high-quality, cost-effective care. The Clinic Director is a resource within the institution and to the community in her or his area of expertise.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare leadership, management, business or related health field preferred and 4-6 years of health care operations supervisory/management experience or 5 years of progressive relevant leadership experience.

    OR

    • Master’s degree in health care management, business, or related health field and 2-5 years of health care operations supervisory/management experience or 3 years of progressive relevant leadership experience.

    OR

    • In lieu of higher educational degrees, a high school diploma and a total 10 years of progressive, relevant supervisory/management experience. Previous clinic/healthcare management experience required.

X-Ray Tech/Laboratory Assistant

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time X-Ray Technician/Lab Assistant to support the Lab department by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis of injuries and disease.

Laboratory Assistant

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Laboratory Assistant to support the Laboratory by performing routine laboratory tests such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, hemoglobin A1C, point-of-care testing, kit testing, and phlebotomy; and prepare specimens to send to reference laboratory. This position also involves performing daily controls, maintenance, and upkeep on equipment, filing of lab reports, and ordering related supplies. The Lab assistant will also ensure safe and secure specimen handling, ensure efficient workflows, and provide accurate lab results by following lab protocols.

Patient Financial Services Representative

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Patient Financial Services Representative. The Patient Financial Services Representative will work to provide insurance and financial assistance to patients who lack access to healthcare and health insurance or are underinsured, and provide enrollment and application assistance and build/strengthen enrollment collaborations with local partner organizations.

The Registered Dental Hygienist performs clinical support services and assigned related work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director and Dental Manager.

The CMO also serves as a clinical provider and Director of Quality for the clinic. Mental Health Therapist

United Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to support the Behavioral Health Department by identifying, triaging and managing patients with medical and behavioral health problems within the primary care setting. This position supports and collaborates with medical providers in managing patients with complex issues and relays diagnostic impressions, interventions and recommendations to the team. The Licensed Mental Health Therapist completes diagnostic, chemical health and crisis assessments and treatment plans. In addition, this position provides brief, solution-focused, and skills-based intervention as well as ongoing psychotherapy to help improve mood and health outcomes and follows up with patients as indicated.

  • Master’s or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university that allows for the practice of mental health in the state of MN.
