CMA/RMA or LPN

Job Description: United Family Medicine has an immediate opening for a Full Time LPN or CMA/RMA (Certified / Registered Medical Assistant) to work days and evenings between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm and occasional Saturdays from 8am to 12pm at our large Family Practice Clinic.  UFM is also a teaching site for the United Family Medicine Residency Program.

Position Details: Permanent Full Time position available. Some Evening hours and Saturdays required. Starting date: A.S.A.P. Salary: Depends on Experience.

Responsibilities:  Rooming patients including taking vital signs, history, and preparing patient and equipment to be seen by the provider. Performs routine procedures including ekgs, audiograms, vision and hearing screenings, ear irrigations, TB skin tests, Spirometry and assisting with minor surgery and other procedures. Administers medications and vaccinations per provider order.

Qualifications:  Candidates should be an LPN preferably three to five years of clinical or related nursing experience or a CMA/RMA, new graduates encouraged to apply.  Prefer ambulatory care experience. American Heart Association BLS certification, RMA/CMA certification. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Additional Information:  Physical Demands: Standing for long periods of time. Some bending, stooping and stretching. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. Work is performed in a clinic office environment. Contact with staff, patients and outside agencies. Possible exposure to communicable disease and medical preparations common to clinic environment.

Dental Assistant

UFM is a large family practice clinic and teaching site for the United Family Medicine Residency Program and now offers full dental services.

Job Description: United Family Medicine has an immediate opening for a full time Dental assistant to work in our dental clinic.

Responsibilities:  This position is responsible to perform chair-side assisting of dentist, clinical support services and assigned related work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director.  

Qualifications:  5 years of experience working in a dental office is required. Experience working with the Dentrix system preferred. Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Triage RN

The hours for this position are:    Monday  through Thursday from 8:00 am -5:00 pm

This position will manage all patient triage over the telephone.  Coordinate and collaborate with the Provider Teams, RN’s, Appointment Schedulers to resolve patient calls appropriately based on patient needs.  Provide follow up calls; take messages and document in the Electronic Medical Record as needed.  This could also include tracking paperwork and messages to monitor and maintain workflow and assure acuity needs are met.

Billing Specialist

This is a full time position Monday – Friday, hours are 7:30am-4:00pm. Position is available ASAP.
The Billing specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies. This position also includes, but is not limited to, working claim denials, rebilling claims, verifying and adding insurance, making corrections to accounts.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or GED
Excellent customer service skills
Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Education/Experience:
Four years business office experience
Minimum of two years third party payer billing experience

Skills:
Ability to establish and maintain effective communication
Organization skills
Careful documentation and attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of basic account principles
Knowledge of insurance requirements for third party payers, Medicare and Medicaid
Basic computer skills
Ability to analyze patient accounts
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workflow and meet stringent guidelines

Physical Demands:
This job may require light lifting (less than 20 pounds) and clerical repetitive tasks
