“On July 30, 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law legislation that established Medicare and Medicaid. For 56 years, these programs have helped to protect the health and well-being of millions of Americans.”
United Family Medicine celebrates this significant day in American history. Combined, Medicare and Medicaid cover nearly 140 million Americans. As a Federally qualified community health center, many of our patients are insured under Medicare or Medicaid. We’re proud to serve our diverse patient population by providing excellent healthcare to all, and we’re grateful that Medicare and Medicaid have helped to make that possible.
