United Family Medicine Names New CEO

SAINT PAUL – United Family Medicine (UFM), an independent, nonprofit provider of primary health care, mental health, dental, obstetrics, preventative care, and chronic disease management in St. Paul, names Melissa Parker as Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Parker had been serving as interim CEO since January 2018 and has played a critical role on the leadership team for over 17 years. She joined the organization in 2000 as Chief Operating Officer and oversaw the transition as UFM became a Federally Qualified Health Clinic. Ms. Parker also led the development of the current West 7th Street location.

“Ms. Parker’s proven record gives us great confidence in her ability to lead UFM into the future and she has the full support of the Board as we work together to bring greater health to the entire community,” said George Baboila, UFM Board Chair. “We invite the community to join us in congratulating Melissa at our annual block party!”

UFM hosts their annual Healthy West 7th Block Party Thursday, August 16th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at 1026 West 7th Street in Saint Paul. The event features live music from local bands, food trucks and many family friendly activities, plus free blood pressure and glucose checks and free dental cleanings. Bring your kids, participate in a bike rodeo and win one of 20 kid’s bicycles.
