job description: United Family Medicine has an opportunity for a CMA/RMA or LPN. Rooming patients for variety of providers. 3-5 years’ Experience working in a clinic required. Provide high quality and efficient direct patient care services including rooming patients, completing vitals, administrative duties, stocking and cleaning and customer service. All positions are required to work 1-2 evenings a week until approx. 8:30pm and one Saturday a month from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

responsibilities: Rooming patients including taking vital signs, history, and preparing patient and equipment to be seen by the provider. Performs routine procedures including EKGs, audiograms, vision and hearing screenings, ear irrigations, TB skin tests, Spirometry and assisting with minor surgery and other procedures. Administers medications and vaccinations per provider order.
qualifications: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with 5 plus years’ experience in ambulatory care. LPN licensure required. CMA or RMA certificate needed or must receive within 6 months of hire date. Previous clinical experience is strongly desired. Spanish speaking applicants desired.
addition information: Physical Demands: Standing for long periods of time. Some bending, stooping and stretching. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. Medical Receptionist, Spanish Speaking
Job description: United Family Medicine is a fast pace Community Clinic with a diverse population. UFM is looking for a candidate that will welcome patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Enhances patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Eases patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties’, working with clinical staff and physicians and maintaining workspace. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Responsibilities: Provide continuous good customer service. Check in patients, update demographic information, verify and input required data, and verification of insurance information. Collect co-pays and schedule follow up appointments using accurate visit codes. Monitor the cancellation line and make appropriate changes to provider schedules and in practice management system. Communicate cancellations and fails to the appropriate team. Makes daily appointment reminder calls. Takes accurate, legible messages and forwards to the appropriate team. Forward all symptom based calls to the triage nurse line. Work with patients and their families to obtain proper documentation, verify information, and to determine the correct method of payment based on a sliding fee scale. Work diplomatically with patients whose expectation of their payment is less than the required payment. Work with patients to fill out appropriate paperwork if eligible for insurance or other payment assistance programs. Verify insurance as needed.
Position details: Must be able to speak fluent Spanish. Full Time position must be able to work: Mon-Thurs 11:30 am – 8:00 pm and Fridays 8:30 pm-5:00 pm in a very fast paced clinic.
Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED. Proficient ability in use of computer, 2 years’ previous experience of front desk, scheduling, or clinical experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Completion of accredited Medical Assisting or nursing assistant program preferred. Fluent in Spanish is a requirement.
